I've seen all these other places around doing them so I thought, what the heck?
Sounds like fun. This is my first attempt, I need a hot topic. So here we go.
I figured I had to
think of a topic that would really be getting to the meat of the matter. I
mean, who needs another poll about which lying, cheating, terrorist in sheep's

So, after much
deliberation, I tried to distill what I felt was the most bottom line problem.
I think it's probably (NOT proly) the general deterioration, intentional
destruction, and debasing of pretty much anything that has to do with humanity,
nature, liberty, love and spirit on the planet. That sounds about right. OK
...so the quiz or poll could be about that, but there's so much! So... I'm
thinking... what would be the largest contributor to the problem? Hmmmmm.

Komen for the Cure
caught in mammography propaganda fraud; scientists blast agenda of deception
(NaturalNews) It is time for the truth to be told about Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The organization is, flatly stated, engaged in fraud. Funded by drug companies and mammogram manufacturers, the organization preys upon women in order to grow its own financial power while feeding female victims into the conventional cancer industry grinder.
All across America, men and women participate in "run for the cure" events, raising tens of millions of dollars each year that go into the hands of Komen for the Cure. What these people don't know is that much of that money is spent on "free" mammograms. Those mammograms, in turn, actually cause breast cancer because they subject women to high doses of ionizing radiation.
The Susan G. Komen scam, in essence, is to raise money that's used to give women cancer and create a financial windfall for the very same companies that financially support Komen in the first place. "The Komen Foundation owns stock in General Electric, one of the largest makers of mammogram machines in the world. Komen's corporate partners include General Mills, Zumba Fitness, Walgreens, The Republic of Tea, REMAX, New Balance, American Airlines, Bank of America, Ford Motor Company, Dell and many more (http://ww5.komen.org/corporatepartners.aspx).
The bottom line? Komen deceives women while powerful corporations rake in the profits. This isn't merely my own opinion. Two prominent doctors, in an article published in the British Medical Journal, have sharply condemned Komen for the Cure for lying about the "benefits" of mammograms.
Komen ads are false, say scientists
"The world's largest breast cancer charity used misleading statistics and deceptive statements about mammography to promote breast cancer awareness and screening," stated scientists. (http://www.medpagetoday.com/HematologyOncology/BreastCancer/34030)
Their names? Steven Woloshin and Lisa Schwartz, directors of the Center for Medicine and the Media at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire.
They join a growing number of other doctors and medical professionals who now see Komen for the Cure as a fundraising fraud and are going public with detailed accusations against Komen's deceptions.
In the recently published BMJ article, Woloshin and Schwartz accused Komen of lying in its promotional propaganda for the 2011 Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In advertising, Komen falsely claimed the 5-year survival rate when breast cancer is caught early is 98%, while only 23% when not "caught early." This is how Komen tricks women into getting more mammograms which cause more cancer -- by claiming "early detection saves lives." But it's not science; it's pure propaganda. (See below.)
According to study authors Woloshin and Schwartz, Komen willfully ignored "a growing and increasingly accepted body of evidence [showing] that although screening may reduce a woman's chance of dying from breast cancer by a small amount, it also causes major harms."

Here's what the data actually say
Komen for the Cure is in the business of fear mongering. They want everyone to be scared out of their minds that breast cancer is going to strike down all the women in their life. And in order to deal with the fear, all you have to do is give more money to Komen.
It's sort of like an old-school evangelical group that asks for donations and says you'll be healed if you just "believe," but instead of claiming to heal people with the power of faith, the Komen cult claims to heal women with the power of ionizing radiation.
In reality, the actual 10-year risk of a 50-year-old woman dying of breast cancer is about half a percent: 0.53% (http://www.medpagetoday.com/HematologyOncology/BreastCancer/34030).
With mammograms used to detect breast cancer tumors, that 10-year risk of dying from breast cancer moves ever so slightly downward to 0.46%.
In other words, the real risk reduction of dying from breast cancer by receiving mammograms is only 0.07% -- seven women out of 10,000.
How mammograms kill women
Seven out of 10,000 is a far cry from the fear-mongering levels that Komen propagandizes. It's not quite the cancer apocalypse that Komen makes it out to be, huh? And in the mean time, Woloshin and Schwartz explain that anywhere from 20% to 50% of women who receive mammograms for a decade of their lives will have at least one "false alarm."
These false alarms often lead to women being treated with deadly chemotherapy cocktails. These expensive drugs enrich the very same drug companies that donate money to Komen for the Cure. This is all part of the cycle of fraud that exploits women's bodies for profit, all while conducting this sick fraud with the message of "finding a cure," emblazoned with pink ribbons. The magnitude of the deception in all this is pathological... even criminal.
"The Komen advertisement is deceptive in another way: it ignores the harms of screening," say Woloshin and Schwartz. "Between 20% and 50% of women screened annually for a decade experience at least one false alarm requiring a biopsy. Most importantly, screening results in overdiagnosis. For every life saved by mammography, around two to 10 women are overdiagnosed. Women who are overdiagnosed cannot benefit from unnecessary chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. All they do experience is harm," they write.

"Women need much more than marketing slogans about screening," wrote Woloshin and Schwartz. "They need -- and deserve -- the facts. The Komen advertisement campaign failed to provide the facts. Worse, it undermined decision making by misusing statistics to generate false hope about the benefit of mammography screening. That kind of behavior is not very charitable."
The article goes on to emphasize that mammograms are a wash, offering no net benefit to women's health:
The benefits and harms [of mammography] are so evenly balanced that the National Breast Cancer Coalition, a major US network of patient and professional organizations, "believes there is insufficient evidence to recommend for or against universal mammography in any age group of women." But instead of telling women the truth, Komen lies to women, vastly exaggerating the "benefits" of screening:
"Komen's public advertising campaign gives women no sense that screening is a close call. Instead it simply tells women to be screened, overstates the benefit of mammography, and ignores harms altogether," write Woloshin and Schwartz.
Komen has even fooled doctors
Beyond fooling the public, Komen's insidious disinformation campaign has even fooled most doctors. As Woloshin and Schwartz described how doctors are tricked by the "improved survival" statistics which mislead people into thinking that screening saves lives:
"In a recent survey we conducted with colleagues from the Max Planck Institute, most US primary care doctors mistakenly interpreted improved survival as evidence that screening saves lives."

Obscene executive salaries
"Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a multimillion-dollar company with assets totaling over $390 million . Only 20.9% of these funds were reportedly used in the 2009-2010 fiscal year for research "for the cure," writes Emily Michele at Alternet (http://www.alternet.org/story/154010/i_will_not_be_pinkwashed%3A_kome...)
She goes on to explain, "I don't know about you, but I would never expect directors of a charitable "non-profit" organization to make more than most doctors, lawyers, or even politicians. Their CEO and president, Hala G. Moddelmog, made $531,924, plus $26,683 in change. That's more than President Obama makes."
This is all revealed in Komen's own IRS reporting forms:
Komen spends about 39% of its money on "public health education," which is just another way to say "pinkwashing." This money is used to catapult the Komen propaganda so that future fundraising events can raise even more money, much of which is paid to Komen's fat cat executives as cushy salaries.
Just remember: When you run for the cure, a significant portion of the money you raise is going straight into the pockets of wealthy Komen executives. None of the money is actually being used to promote vitamin D or cancer prevention. "Detection," after all, is not prevention. It's just a way to push the cancer industry's agenda of treating more women with toxic chemotherapy chemicals (and more ionizing radiation).
Komen's activities are crimes against humanity -- and blacks in particular
Susan G. Komen for the Cure isn't just a dishonest, deceptive non-profit that exploits women for its own power and prestige; it also engaged in crimes against humanity. The use of deceptive statistics, lying propaganda, and false and misleading fundraising events push a machine of death and destruction that sacrifices the lives of women upon the altar of Big Pharma profits.
Notably, Komen usually targets black women, focusing their mobile mammogram trucks -- "mobile cancer stations" -- on low-income neighborhoods in cities like Detroit where breast cancer among African American women is far more common than in white neighborhoods. The result of all this is increased rates of breast cancer due to the mammography itself. This, in turn, results in statistics which are cited by Komen itself to spread fear and alarm over the disease, justifying their very existence.
It is, at every level, an insidious scam conducted at the cost of innocent human lives. Far from "finding a cure" for cancer, Komen spreads cancer, incites fear, lies to women and then cites the very cancer that it causes as justification for its existence.
Susan G. Komen is a danger to the American public. It functions as a recruitment branch of Big Pharma, ensnaring women with a seductive message of hope and inspiration while delivering suffering and death.
If you donate money to Komen, you are financially supporting this insidious, destructive non-profit monstrosity that destroys lives and brutalizes women. Women who undergo chemotherapy should be called, "chemically battered women," and Komen promotes this abuse of women through its reliance on false and deceptive propaganda.
The solution to all this? Boycott Komen. Refuse to raise money for this harmful organization that exploits women. Inform your friends about pinkwashing. Share this article. Help stop the exploitation of women by Komen and its lying propaganda.

These are systems for
alerting the public to emergency situations.
CONELRAD
Conelrad (CONtrol of
ELectronic RADiation) was set up in 1951 to provide warnings to the public
during the Cold War. Upon alert, most stations would go off the air. Each
remaining station was to move to either 640 or 1240 kHz, and alternate with
other such local stations, supposedly so no enemy Direction Finding equipment
could lock onto locations in the US. Or course, most stations were not really
that far apart, in air miles, so it was not a very useful system. Actual
activations were apparently very few.

Phil Alexander recalls:
Radios of the late 50's and early 60's had the "CD" triangle in a
circle emblem at 640 and 1240, and late one night I spent 2 or 3 hours turning
a DA station on 1550 into a non DA on 1240 because about 9 PM EST one Saturday
night in October '62, the White House seized all the wires and sent a message
that all ConelraD authorized stations should be prepared to begin ConelraD
operations at, or at any time after, 10 AM the following morning. I tested on
1240 during the experimental period, marked all the strap points and
adjustments, put the station back on 1550, left a note for the morning guy to
call me if an alert came through and went home (5 minutes away) and went to bed
about 3 AM. The sun came up, the Russian ships on the way to Cuba turned around,
and the 1240 crystal was never used again.

EBS
To replace Conelrad,
the EBS (Emergency Broadcast System) was put into place in 1963. Originally as
outlined, stations were to test weekly. They were supposed to set off
"carrier detect" receivers by the following sequence (As Conelrad
receivers operated on the "loss of carrier" principle, they were
still used for that purpose with the EBS program.):
1.
turn their transmitters off for 5 seconds.
2.
turn their transmitters on for 5 seconds.
3.
turn their transmitters off for 5 seconds.
4.
turn their transmitters on.
5.
broadcast a 1000 Hertz tone for 15 seconds to
alert other stations.
6.
broadcast a "test" message so the
public understood what was going on.
Among other
unintended consequences, during lightning storms dozens of false
"alarms" were often initiated. And there were many stories of
stations going off, and suddenly founding out through the "EBS Stress
Test" that they couldn't get the transmitter to come back on!
Worse yet, due to a
slipup (supposedly in NORAD headquarters) on February 20, 1971 at 9:33 AM EST,
during a regular weekly test period, a false alert was sent out. The story was
that the "wrong tape" was put in the teletype machine. Many stations,
including some key primary stations, either ignored the alert or found that
their staff didn't know what to do.

The bureaucrats,
after a year or so of talking and "testing" decided to
"upgrade" the system to provide "better and more accurate
handling" of alert receptions. In addition to other procedural changes,
the alert signal was changed to a dual-tone to reduce "false alerts."
EBS, Version 2 was put into operation in about 1976.

In November 1994, the
EAS (Emergency Alert System) was approved by the FCC, with operations to begin
January 1, 1997. Using digital signaling, the EAS was to permit sending more
than an alert, actual information could be sent, printed out, and rebroadcast
on command.

EMF Killing Fields
I’m not fond of grim
titles. In spite of it, they’re racking up on my blog index. I’ve been told
that to make a point on the internet, I should say whatever I’m saying in “five
words or less” and make it catchy. ‘Catchy’ sounds cute, like a song: Catchy tunes, repetition in your head. That really is what’s going on here and this post is about the
biological and psychological cost of the contagion. It’s also about precious commodities,
government intrusion, UFOs, mental health, life, death, and God-like powers. I
could spend the rest of the summer amending this post and maybe I will (in the
comments), but what I hope to do is make it a smooth read for you and say more
about the speculative things I think on the subject. First though, I’ll explain
the title.
EMF stands for
“electromagnetic field” which can be found everywhere in some manner of degree.
It’s the ‘free energy’ swirling around in toroid-like curvilinear space. If
scientists are ever able to articulate the full activity of EMFs they would be
describing the Mind of God as many people conceive it
–nothing in existence operates outside the influence of EMFs. They present the
conditions in which all things behave, or “have being“. In different
words, radiation, radio-frequency (RF), microwaves (MW) and the entire
vibratory spectrum of energy called Light is referencing EMFs. “[E]nergy is clearly the fundamental concept. By energy, we mean an
action principle, that which causes things to happen.” –Michael
Mannion, ufologist (Mindshift, p106);
“I, and many of us, take the view that the only real energy that we know
about is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. That vibration and movement and
energy are all interrelated. We are probably not dealing with strange types of

Conscious Evolution (see Thrive or Threat),
for all its semantic permutations, is the attainment of knowledge about EMFs.
To you and me, it’s about coexisting with technology that is altering the
electromagnetic conditions in which we autonomically have being. Autonomy, the power of self-governance, is a
benefit of optimizing design; in a society, a system, or a cell. By definition
autonomy is independent of outside control. The present applications of
artificial EMFs erase all previous notions of autonomy.
Killing fields are the
physical places bearing our grimmest reminders of war; collective impressions
of slaughtered innocence; permanent losses for political, abstract and temporal
objectives. Ground zeroes all, in the killing fields where Cosmic Order is
punctured and replaced by manmade voids, mortification should hold us back and
allow the forces that humans abandoned to refill the vacuum –God, nature, love,
respect, generational time– if we were wise enough to hallow them and humble
enough to accept the utter failure of understanding they represent.
Other people long before me have called
artificial EMFs the killing fields: Arthur Firstenberg wrote, “In 1982 I was in
my final year of medical school… One day I collapsed and was unable to get up…
It wasn’t a heart attack, but it was six months before I could walk up a flight
of stairs without becoming short of breath… I gradually found that I was being
effectively disabled by my society. Having stumbled upon an obviously well-kept
secret, I researched the world literature on bioelectromagnetics… together with
other members of a support group I had found how best to live with my
disability… But in July 1996, to my dismay, I learned that an innovation was
coming to my city which threatened to make it impossible to avoid exposure any

Philadelphia– on about 15 November… I learned that in February 1996, Congress

Microchip-Laden Drugs
Given FDA Approval
Rumors regarding the
development of a 'digital pill' with a microchip inside have been circulating
for some time, but today, the FDA actually green lighted the product.
The company, Proteus
Digital Health, gained FDA approval for its 1 square millimeter device (the
size of a grain of sand), which it believes will "shift the care
paradigm" into an era of digital medicine.
According to Proteus
Digital Health's website:
Digital
Medicines are the same pharmaceuticals you take today, with one small change:
each pill also contains a tiny sensor that can communicate, via our digital
health feedback system, vital information about your medication-taking
behaviors and how your body is responding.
The company added
"As a result, you can be sure you're taking your medicines as prescribed,
while at the same time receiving unprecedented feedback on your physical
response to treatment."
The aim of the
"ingestible sensor" is to electronically verify patient compliance in
taking the medication. Proteus Digital Health estimates that over 50% of
patients do not get the full benefit from the pharmaceuticals they take because
of taking the wrong dose or taking the medication consistently.
Here is how it
intends to work:
The Proteus
ingestible sensor can be integrated into an inert pill or other ingested
products, such as pharmaceuticals. Once the ingestible sensor reaches the
stomach, it is powered by contact with stomach fluid and communicates a unique
signal that determines identity and timing of ingestion. This information is
transferred through the user's body tissue to a patch worn on the skin that
detects the signal and marks the precise time an ingestible sensor has been taken.
Additional physiologic and behavioral
metrics collected by the patch include heart rate, body position and activity.
The patch relays information to a mobile phone application. With the patient's
consent, the information is accessible by caregivers and clinicians, helping
individuals to develop and sustain healthy habits, families to make better
health choices, and clinicians to provide more effective, data-driven care.
What are the
unintended, adverse health effects of this technology? Has it been sufficiently
safety-tested? These are questions that remain largely unanswered, but have
already been raised in connection with other proposed RFID technologies
intended to be implanted within the human body.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has recently come
under criticism for their financial support of GMO agriculture, 'edible' and
'flying' vaccines, pesticide-laden traditional scarves, and other questionable
technological interventions ostensibly to reduce suffering, are also prominently
figured partners on the Proteus Digital Health website.

Starved for entertainment that describes "the way we live now?"
You may have to return to 1875, when Anthony Trollope's novel by that title was published.
A four-part BBC miniseries (2001) based on it depicts the depredations on British society of a Jewish banker, "Augustus Melmotte." It shows his effect on people eager to protect their values, yet vulnerable to temptation (i.e. greed.)
Melmotte is a shady figure, recently arrived from Frankfurt via Vienna trailing rumors of bank collapses and swindles. He quickly establishes himself in London as the go-to man for investment and profit.
His emotionally-needy daughter Marie attracts spendthrift aristocrats. Sir Felix Carbury, a laughable wastrel is first in line for Marie's affections.
Paul Montague, an earnest young English engineer seeks Melmotte's backing for a railroad running from Salt Lake City to Vera Cruz in Mexico.
Melmotte floats the company on the London Stock Exchange without any intention of actually building the railway.
There is a marvelous scene where Melmotte lectures his (gentile) Board of Directors on the profit motive, which "moves mountains and changes the world." He advises them to put their last shilling in railway shares for they will quadruple!
"Just trust me!" he says. The effect on them is intoxicating.
Melmotte runs for office and his hustings speech is both intoxicating and prescient:
"We have had the Austrian Empire, and the Ottoman Empire. These will all be replaced by the Empire of Trade. The result will be untold wealth for all of you!"
Melmotte is elected to Parliament where he champions free trade to the detriment of local industries.
Screenwriter Andrew Davies marveled at the novel's timeliness: "It's so dark and so modern in its tone, and centered around a city scam that reminds one of the dot-com collapse or the recent Enron scandal. And in the middle is this huge monster, Melmotte, sitting like a fat spider, drawing all the other characters into his great scheme."
Paul Montague returns from Mexico disgusted that no work has been done. Melmotte assures him that maintaining "public confidence is the main thing." We see the recurring Cabalist theme that "saying is believing," not seeing.
Rob Byrdon plays "Mr Alf" a crusading newspaperman who confronts Melmotte: "You don't move mountains. All you move is money, from other pockets into your own!"
There are many romantic subplots that involve marrying for love vs. money, a Victorian preoccupation. In one, the daughter of a struggling English aristocrat is about the marry another Jewish banker when he drops her.
"I've been jilted by a Jew!" she exclaims in disbelief.
Generally speaking, the miniseries is not anti Semitic although it pokes fun at the Jews' lack of grace and manners. However, it is just as scathing in its criticism of the decadent English aristocracy.
In the end, Melmotte's love-starved daughter, Marie, is quite sympathetic. And Melmotte's Jewish associates Breghert and Croll are also seen as honorable men.
Ultimately, the novel/miniseries is an inspired preview of the overthrow of traditional values by the satanic reductionism of profit championed by Jewish finance. It is hard to believe that this novel was written before the Panama Scandal of 1892 and the Marconi Scandal of 1912.
David Suchet (of Hercules Poirot fame) is convincing as Melmotte and Mathew Macfadyen is a hoot as the wastrel Felix Carbury.
I highly recommend this miniseries as an heartening reminder of what art once was when it upheld truth and enduring wisdom.

there was nothing "fabulous" about the "Fab Four". They
were a cover band; but that's it! Yes, they had some decent hits after they
took American "by storm" but NOT before. So how is it that they got
to the top of Rock & Roll Mountain here in America without really climbing
it? Simple, they were helicoptered up there by the Committee of 300 and the

This group was formed
at Oxford University, London, by the Royal Institute of Of International
Affairs in 1922. Major John Rawlings Reese, a British Army technician, was
instructed to set up the largest brainwashing facility in the world at the
Tavistock Institute for Human Relations as a part of Sussex University.
This became the core
of Britain's Psychological Warfare Bureau. It was Tavistock-designed methods
that got the United States into the Second World War and which, under the
guidance of Dr. Kurt Lewin, established the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA.
Lewin became the director of the Strategic Bombing Survey, which was a plan for
the Royal Air Force to concentrate on bombing German worker housing while
leaving military targets, such as munition plants, alone. The munition plants
on both sides belonged to the international bankers who had no wish to see
their assets destroyed. The idea behind saturation bombing of civilian worker
housing was to break the morale of the German worker.
It was not designed
to affect the war effort against the German military machine. Lewin and his
team of actuaries reached a target figure, that if 65% of German worker housing
was destroyed by nightly RAF bombing, the morale of the civilian population
would collapse. The actual document was prepared by the Pru-dential Assurance
Company. The RAF, under the command of "Bomber" Harris, carried out
Lewin's plans, culminating in the terror firestorm bombing of Dresden, in which
over 125,000, mainly old men, women and children, were killed.
The truth of
"Bomber" Harris's horror raids on German civilians was a well kept
secret until long after the end of WW II. Today its primary mission is to
establish a global brainwashing and opinion forming network. This institute is
the originator of the Aquarian Conspiracy, designed to weaken the nations of
the world by encouraging drug use, free sex, homosexuality and lesbianism. It
has been very successful in the United States. It works through many research
institutes and think tanks. The principal ones in the United States are the
Stanford Research Institute, Rand Research and Development Corporation, the
Institute For Policy Studies, the Aspen Institute, the Hudson Institute, and
the Brookings Institute. Tavistock runs over 30 research institutions in the
United States.
These Tavistock-U.S.
institutions have in many cases grown into gargantuan monsters, penetrating
every aspect of our government agencies and taking command of all policy
making. One of Tavistock's chief wreckers of our way of life was Dr. Alexander
King, a founder member of NATO and a favorite with the Committee of 300, as
well as an outstanding member of the Club of Rome.
When it was decided
that a super-body would control European affairs, the RIIA founded the
Tavistock Institute, which in turn created NATO. For Five years NATO was
financed by the German Marshall Fund. Dr. King was assigned by the Club of Rome
to destroy America's education by taking control of the National Teachers
Association and working in close conjunction with certain law makers and
judges. Scientists engaged in the process of conditioning are called
"social engineers" or "new-science social scientists" and
they play an integral part in what we see, hear and read. The "old
school" social engineers were Kurt K. Lewin, Professor Hadley Cantril,
Margaret Meade, Professor Derwin Cartwright and Professor Lipssitt who,
together with John Rawlings Reese, made up the backbone of new-science scientists

Formed in 1947, the Tavistock Institute is
an independent not-for-profit organization which seeks to combine research in
the social sciences with professional practice. Problems of
institution-building and organizational design and change are being tackled in
all sectors - government, industry and commerce, health and welfare, education,
etc. - nationally and internationally, and clients range from multinationals to
small community groups. A growth area has been the use of a developmental
approach to evaluation of new and experimental programs, particularly in
health, education and community development. This has also produced new
training events alongside the regular program of group relations conferences.
The Institute owns and edits the monthly journal Human Relations (published by Plenum Press)
which is now in its 48th year, and has recently launched (in conjunction with

The ideology of American foundations
was created by the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London. In 1921,
the Duke of Bedford, Marquess of Tavistock, the 11th Duke, gave a building to
the Institute to study the effect of shellshock on British soldiers who
survived World War I. Its purpose was to establish the "breaking
point" of men under stress, under the direction of the British Army Bureau
of Psychological Warfare, commanded by Sir John Rawlings-Reese.
Tavistock Institute is headquartered in
London. Its prophet, Sigmond Freud, settled in
Maresfield Gardens when he moved to England. He was given a mansion by Princess
Bonaparte. Tavistock's pioneer work in behavioral science along Freudian lines
of "controlling" humans established it as the world center of
foundation ideology. Its network now extends from the University of Sussex to
the U.S. through the Stanford Research Institute, Esalen, MIT,

Tavistock Institute developed the mass
brain-washing techniques which were first used experimentally on American
prisoners of war in Korea. Its experiments in crowd control methods have been
widely used on the American public, a surreptitious but nevertheless outrageous
assault on human freedom by modifying individual behavior through topical
psychology. A German refugee, Kurt Lewin, became director of Tavistock in 1932.
He came to the U.S. in 1933 as a "refugee", the first of many
infiltrators, and set up the Harvard Psychology Clinic, which originated the propaganda
campaign to turn the American public against Germany and involve us in World
War II.
In 1938, Roosevelt executed a secret
agreement with Churchill which in effect ceded U.S. sovereignty to England,
because it agreed to let Special Operations Executive control U.S. policies. To
implement this agreement, Roosevelt sent General Donovan to London for
indoctrination before setting up OSS (now the CIA) under the aegis of SOE-SIS.
The entire OSS program, as well as the CIA has always worked on guidelines set
up by the Tavistock Institute.

Tavistock Institute originated the mass
civilian bombing raids carried out by Roosevelt and Churchill purely as a
clinical experiment in mass terror, keeping records of the results as they
watched the "guinea pigs" reacting under "controlled laboratory
conditions". All Tavistock and American foundation techniques have a
single goal---to break down the psychological strength of the individual and
render him helpless to oppose the dictators of the World Order. Any technique
which helps to break down the family unit, and family inculcated principles of
religion, honor, patriotism and sexual behavior, is used by the Tavistock
scientists as weapons of crowd control.
The methods of Freudian psychotherapy
induce permanent mental illness in those who undergo this treatment by
destabilizing their character. The victim is then advised to "establish
new rituals of personal interaction", that is, to indulge in brief sexual
encounters which actually set the participants adrift with no stable personal
relationships in their lives, destroying their ability to establish or maintain
a family. Tavistock Institute has developed such power in the U.S. that no one
achieves prominence in any field unless he has been trained in behavioral
science at Tavistock or one of its subsidiaries.
Henry Kissinger, whose meteoric rise to
power is otherwise inexplicable, was a German refugee and student of Sir John
Rawlings-Reese at SHAEF. Dr. Peter Bourne, a Tavistock Institute psychologist,
picked Jimmy Carter for President of the U.S. solely because Carter had
undergone an intensive brainwashing program administered by Admiral Hyman
Rickover at Annapolis. The "experiment" in compulsory racial
integration in the U.S. was organized by Ronald Lippert, of the OSS and the
American Jewish Congress, and director of child training at the Commission on
Community Relations. The program was designed to break down the individual's
sense of personal knowledge in his identity, his racial heritage. Through the Stanford Research Institute, Tavistock controls the National
Education Association. The Institute of Social Research at the
National Training Lab brain washes the leading executives of
business and government.
Such is the power of Tavistock that our
entire space program was scrapped for nine years so that the Soviets could
catch up. The hiatus was demanded in an article written by Dr. Anatol Rapport,
and was promptly granted by the government, to the complete mystification of
everyone connected with NASA. Another prominent Tavistock operation is the Wharton School of Finance, at the University of Pennsylvania.
A single common denominator identifies the common Tavistock strategy---the use
of drugs. The infamous MK Ultra program of the CIA, in which unsuspecting CIA
officials were given LSD, and their reaction studied like "guinea
pigs", resulted in several deaths.
The U.S. Government had to pay millions in
damages to the families of the victims, but the culprits were never indicted.
The program originated when Sandoz AG, a Swiss drug firm, owned by S.G. Warburg
Co. of London, developed Lysergic Acid [LSD]. Roosevelt's advisor, James Paul Warburg, son of Paul Warburg
who wrote the Federal Reserve Act, and nephew of Max Warburg
who had financed Hitler, set up the

to promote the drug. The result was the LSD "counter-culture" of the
1960s, the "student revolution", which was financed by $25 million
from the CIA.
One part of MK Ultra was the Human Ecology Fund; the CIA also paid Dr. Herbert Kelman of
Harvard to carry out further experiments on mind control. In the 1950s, the CIA
financed extensive LSD experiments in Canada. Dr. D. Ewen Cameron,
president of the Canadian Psychological Association, and director of Royal
Victorian Hospital, Montreal, received large payments from the CIA to give 53
patients large doses of LSD and record their reactions; the patients were
drugged into weeks of sleep and then given electric shock treatments.
One victim, the wife of a member of the
Canadian Parliament, is now suing the U.S. companies who provided the drug for
the CIA. All the records of the CIA's drug testing program were ordered
destroyed by the head of MK Ultra. Because all efforts of the Tavistock
Institute are directed toward producing cyclical collapse, the effect of the
CIA programs are tragically apparent. R. Emmett Tyrell Jr., writing in the
Washington Post August 20, 1984, cites the "squalid consequences of the
60s radicals in SDS" as resulting in "the growing rate of
illegitimacy, petty lawlessness, drug addiction, welfare, VD, and mental
illness".
This is the legacy of the Warburgs and the
CIA. Their principal agency, the Institute for Policy Studies,
was funded by James Paul Warburg; its co-founder was Marcus Raskin, protege of
McGeorge Bundy, president of the Ford Foundation. Bundy had Raskin appointed to
the post of President Kennedy's personal representative on the National
Security Council, and in 1963 funded Students for Democratic Society, through
which the CIA operated the drug culture.
Today the Tavistock Institute operates a $6
Billion a year network of Foundations in the U.S., all of it funded by U.S.
taxpayers' money. Ten major institutions are under its direct control, with 400
subsidiaries, and 3000 other study groups and think tanks which originate many
types of programs to increase the control of the World Order over the American
people. The Stanford Research Institute, adjoining the Hoover Institution, is a
$150 million a year operation with 3300 employees. It carries on program
surveillance for Bechtel, Kaiser, and 400 other companies, and extensive
intelligence operations for the CIA. It is the largest institution on the West
Coast promoting mind control and the behavioral sciences.
One of the key agencies as a conduit for
secret instructions from Tavistock is the Ditchley Foundation,
founded in 1957. The American branch of the Ditchley Foundation is run by Cyrus Vance, former Secretary of State, and director of the
Rockefeller Foundation, and Winston Lord, president of
the Council on Foreign Relations.

One of the principal but little known
operations of the Rockefeller Foundation has been its techniques for
controlling world agriculture. Its director, Kenneth Wernimont,
set up Rockefeller controlled agricultural programs throughout Mexico and Latin
America. The independent farmer is a great threat to the World Order, because
he produces for himself, and because his produce can be converted into capital,
which gives him independence. In Soviet Russia, the Bolsheviks believed they
had attained total control over the people; they were dismayed to find their
plans threatened by the stubborn independence of the small farmers, the Kulaks.
Stalin ordered the OGPU to seize all food
and animals of the Kulaks, and to starve them out. The Chicago American,
February 25, 1935 carried a front page headline, SIX MILLION PERISH IN SOVIET
FAMINE; Peasants' Crops Seized, They and their Animals Starve. To draw
attention from this atrocity, it was later alleged that the Germans, not the
Soviets, had killed six million people, the number taken from the Chicago
American headline by a Chicago publicist.
The Communist Party, the Party of the
Peasants and Workers, exterminated the peasants and enslaved the workers. Many
totalitarian regimes have found the small farmer to be their biggest stumbling
block. The French Reign of Terror was directed, not against the aristocrats,
many of whom were sympathetic to it, but against the small farmers who refused
to turn over their grain to the revolutionary tribunals in exchange for the
worthless assignants. In the United States, the foundations are presently
engaged in the same type of war of extermination against the American farmer.
The traditional formula of land plus labor
for the farmer has been altered due to the farmer's need for purchasing power,
to buy industrial goods needed in his farming operations. Because of this need
for capital, the farmer is especially vulnerable to the World Order's
manipulation of interest rates, which is bankrupting him. Just as in the Soviet
Union, in the early 1930s, when Stalin ordered the Kulaks to give up their
small plots of land to live and work on the collective farms, the American
small farmer faces the same type of extermination, being forced to give up his
small plot of land to become a hired hand for the big agricultural trusts. The
Brookings Institution and other foundations originated the monetary programs
implemented by the Federal Reserve System to destroy the American farmer, a
replay of the Soviet tragedy in Russia, with one proviso that the farmer will
be allowed to survive if he becomes a slave worker of the giant trusts.
Once the citizen becomes aware of the true
role of the foundations, he can understand the high interest rates, high taxes,
the destruction of the family, the degradation of the churches into forums for
revolution, the subversion of the universities into CIA cesspools of drug
addiction, and the halls of government into sewers of international espionage
and intrigue. The American citizen can now understand why every agent of the
federal government is against him; the alphabet agencies, the FBI, IRS, CIA and
BATF must make war on the citizen in order to carry out the programs of the
foundations.
The foundations are in direct violation of
their charters, which commit them to do "charitable" work, because
they make no grants which are not part of a political goal. The charge has been
made, and never denied, that the Heritage-AEI network has at least two KGB
moles on its staff. The employment of professional intelligence operatives as
"charitable" workers, as was done in the Red Cross Mission to Russia
in 1917, exposes the sinister political economic and social goals which the World
Order requires the foundations to achieve through their "bequests ".
Not only is this tax fraud, because the
foundations are granted tax exemption solely to do charitable work, but it is
criminal syndicalism, conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States
of America, Constitutional Law 213, Corpus Juris Secundum 16. For the first
time, the close interlocking of the foundation "syndicate" has been
revealed by the names of its principle incorporators---Daniel Coit Gilman, who
incorporated the Peabody Fund and the John Slater Fund, and became an
incorporator of the General Education Board (now the Rockefeller Foundation);
Gilman, who also incorporated the Russell Trust in 1856, later became an
incorporator of the Carnegie Institution with Andrew Dickson White (Russell
Trust) and Frederic A. Delano. Delano also was an original incorporator of the
Brookings Institution and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Daniel Coit Gilman incorporated the Russell
Sage Foundation with Cleveland H. Dodge of the National City Bank. These
foundations incorporators have been closely linked with the Federal Reserve
System, the War Industries Board of World War I, the OSS of World War II and
the CIA. They have also been closely linked with the American International
Corporation, which was formed to instigate the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia.
Delano, an uncle of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was on the original Board of
Governors of the Federal Reserve System in 1914. His brother-in-law founded the
influential Washington law firm of Covington and Burling. The Delanos and other
ruling families of the World Order trace their lineage directly back to William
of Orange and the regime which granted the charter of the Bank of England.

approximately 350 firms who conduct research and conduct surveys, make
recommendations to government. They are part of what President Eisenhower
called "a possible danger to public policy that could itself become
captive of a scientific-technological elite."
Brookings Institution
Dedicates its work to what it calls a "national agenda." Wrote
President Hoover's program, President Roosevelt's "New Deal", the
Kennedy Administration's "New Frontiers" program (deviation from it
may have cost John F. Kennedy his life), and President Johnson's "Great
Society." Brookings has been telling the United States Government how to
conduct its affairs for the past 70 years and is still doing so.
Hudson Institute This
institution has done more to shape the way Americans react to political and
social events, think, vote and generally conduct themselves than perhaps any
except the BIG FIVE. Hudson specializes in defense policy research and
relations with the USSR. Most of its military work is classified as SECRET.
(One idea during the Vietnam War was to build a moat around Saigon.) Hudson may
be properly classified as one of the Committee of 300's BRAINWASHING
establishments. One of its largest clients is the U.S. Department of Defense
which includes matters of civil defense, national security, military policy and
arms control.

National Training Laboratories
One of the key institutions established for this purpose in the United States
was the National Training Laboratories (NTL). Founded in 1947 by members of the
Tavistock network in the United States and located originally on an estate in
Bethel, Maine, NTL had as its explicit purpose the brainwashing of leaders of
the government, educational institutions, and corporate bureaucracies in the
Tavistock method, and then using these "leaders" to either themselves
run Tavistock group sessions in their organizations or to hire other similarly
trained group leaders to do the job. The "nuts and bolts" of the NTL
operation revolves around the particular form of Tavistock degenerate
psychology known as "group dynamics," developed by German Tavistock
operative Kurt Lewin, who emigrated to the United States in the 1930s and whose
students founded NTL.
In a Lewinite brainwashing group, a number
of individuals from varying backgrounds and personalities, are manipulated by a
"group leader" to form a "consensus" of opinion, achieving
a new "group identity." The key to the process is the creation of a
controlled environment, in which stress is introduced (sometimes called
dissonance) to crack an individual's belief structure. Using the peer pressure
of other group members, the individual is "cracked," and a new
personality emerges with new values. The degrading experience causes the person
to deny that any change has taken place. In that way, an individual is
brainwashed without the victim knowing what has taken place.
This method is the same, with some minor
modification, used in all so-called "sensitivity groups" or
"T-groups," or in the more extreme rock-drug-sex counterculture form,
"touchy-feely groups," such as the kind popularized from the 1960s
onward by the Esalen Institute, which was set up with the
help of NTL.
From the mid-1950s onward, NTL put the
majority of the nation's corporate leaderships through such brainwashing
programs, while running similar programs for the State Department, the Navy,
the Department of Education, and other sections of the federal bureaucracy.
There is no firm estimate of the number of Americans who have been put through
this process in last 40 years at either NTL, or as it is now known the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences, which is based
in Rosslyn, Virginia, or its West Coast base of operations, the Western Training Laboratories in Group Development, or in
various satellite institutions. The most reliable estimate is in the several
millions.
One of the groups that went through the NTL
mill in the 1950s was the leadership of the National Education
Association, the largest organization of teachers in the United
States. Thus, the NEA's outlook has been "shaped" by Tavistock,
through the NTL. In 1964, the NTL Institute became a direct part of the NEA,
with the NTL setting up "group sessions" for all its affiliates. With
funding from the Department of Education, the NTL Institute drafted the
programs for the training of the nation's primary and secondary school
teachers, and has a hand as well in developing the content of educational
"reforms," including OBE.
Also known as the International Institute
for Applied Behavioral Sciences. This institute is a brainwashing center in
artificial stress training whereby participants suddenly find themselves
immersed in defending themselves against vicious accusations. NTL takes in the
National Education Association, the largest teacher group in the United States.
While officially decrying "racism", it is interesting to note that
NTL, working with NEA, produced a paper proposing education vouchers which would
separate the hard-to-teach children from the brighter ones, and funding would
be allocated according to the number of difficult children who would be
separated from those who progressed at a normal rate. The proposal was not
taken up.
University of Pennsylvania, Wharton
School of Finance & Commerce Founded by Eric Trist One of the
"brain trusts" of Tavistock, Wharton has become one of the more
important Tavistock in so far as "Behavioral Research" is concerned.
Wharton attracts clients such as the U.S. Department of Labor---which teaches
how to produce "cooked" statistics at the Wharton Econometric
Forecasting Associates Incorporated. This method was very much in demand as we
came to the close of 1991 with millions more out of work than was reflected in
USDL statistics. Wharton's ECONOMETRIC MODELING is used by every major
Committee of 300 company in the United States, Western Europe, the
International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, and the World Bank. Institute
for Social Research Among its clients are The Ford Foundation, U.S. Department
of Defense, U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Department of Justice. Among its
studies are "The Human Meaning Of Social Change", "Youth in
Transition" and "How Americans View Their Mental Health".
Institute For The Future This
is not a typical Tavistock institution in that it is funded by the Ford
Foundation, yet it draws its long-range forecasting from the mother of all
think tanks. Institute for the Future projects what it believes to be changes
that will be taking place in time frames of fifty years. So called "DELPHI
PANELS" decide what is normal and what is not, and prepare position papers
to "steer" government in the right direction to head off such groups
as "people creating civil disorder." (This could be patriotic groups
demanding abolition of graduated taxes, or demanding that their right to bear
arms is not infringed.) This institute recommends action such as liberalizing
abortion laws, drug usage and that cars entering an urban area pay tolls,
teaching birth control in public schools, requiring registration of firearms,
making use of drugs a non-criminal offense, legalizing homosexuality, paying
students for scholastic achievements, making zoning controls a preserve of the
state, offering bonuses for family planning and last, but most frightening, a
Pol Pot Cambodia-style proposal that new communities be established in rural
areas, (concentration camp compounds). As can be observed, many of their goals
have already been more than fully realized.
INSTITUTE FOR POLICY STUDIES (IPS)
One of the "Big Three", IPS has
shaped and reshaped United States policies, foreign and domestic, since it was
founded by James P. Warburg and the Rothschild entities in the United States.
Its networks in America include the League for Industrial Democracy. Lead
players in the League for Industrial Democracy have included Jeane Kirkpatrick,
former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Irwin Suall of the ADL, Eugene
Rostow, Arms control negotiator, Lane Kirkland, Labor Leader, and Albert
Shanker. IPS was incorporated in 1963 by Marcus Raskin and Richard Barnett,
both highly trained Tavistock Institute graduates. The objectives of IPS came
from an agenda laid down for it by the Tavistock Institute, one of the most
notable being to create the "New Left" as a grass roots movement in
the U.S. It’s been said that Barnett and Raskin controlled such diverse
elements as the Black Panthers, Daniel Ellsberg, National Security Council
staff member Halprin, The Weathermen Underground, the Venceramos and the
campaign staff of candidate George McGovern. No scheme was too big for IFS and
its controllers to take on and manage.
Through its many powerful lobbying groups
on Capitol Hill, IPS relentlessly used its "Big Stick" to beat
Congress. IPS has a network of lobbyists, all supposedly operating
independently but in actual fact acting cohesively, so that Congressmen are
pummeled from all sides by seemingly different and varied lobbyists, In this
way, IPS was, and is still, able to successfully sway individual
Representatives and Senators to vote for "the trend, the way things are
going." By using key pointmen on Capitol Hill, IPS was able to break into
the very infrastructure of our legislative system and the way it works.
IPS became, and remains to this day, one of
the most prestigious "think tanks" controlling foreign policy
decisions, which we, the people, foolishly believe are those of our law makers.
By sponsoring militant activism at home and with links to revolutionaries abroad,
by engineering such victories as "The Pentagon Papers," besieging the
corporate structure, bridging the credibility gap between underground movements
and acceptable political activism, by penetrating religious organizations and
using them to sow discord in America, such as radical racial policies under the
guise of religion, using establishment media to spread IPS ideas, and then
supporting them, IPS has lived up to the role which it was founded to play.

STANFORD RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Jesse Hobson, the first president of
Stanford Research Institute, in a 1952 speech made it clear what lines the institute
was to follow. Stanford can be described as one of the "jewels" in
Tavistock's Crown in its rule over the United States. Founded in 1946
immediately after the close of WWII, it was presided over by Charles A. Anderson, with emphasis on mind control research
and "future sciences." Included under the Stanford umbrella was Charles F. Kettering Foundation which developed the
"Changing Images of Man" upon which the Aquarian Conspiracy rests.

contracts were at first centered around the defense establishment but, as
Stanford grew, so, did the diversity of its services:

America. This is ARPA networking and represents the emergence of probably the
most far reaching effort to control the environment of every individual in the
country. At present Stanford's computers are linked with 2500
"sister" research consoles which include the CIA, Bell Telephone
Laboratories, U.S. Army Intelligence, The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI),
Rand, MIT, Harvard and UCLA. Stanford plays a key role in that it is the
"library", cataloging all ARPA documentation.
"Other agencies".....one can use
one's imagination here, are allowed to search through SRI's "library"
for key words, phrases, look through sources and update their own master files
with those of Stanford Research Center. The Pentagon uses SRI's master files
extensively, and there is little doubt that other U.S. Government agencies do
the same. Pentagon "command and control" problems are worked out by
Stanford.
While ostensibly these apply only to
weapons and soldiers, there is absolutely no guarantee that the same research
could not, and will not be turned to civilian applications. Stanford is known
to be willing to do anything for anyone.

A cloudbuster is a
device designed by Austrian psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich, which Reich said could
produce rain by manipulating what he called "orgone energy" present
in the atmosphere.
The cloudbuster was
intended to be used in a way similar to a lightning rod: focusing it on a
location in the sky and grounding it in some material that was presumed to
absorb orgone – such as a body of water – would draw the orgone energy out of
the atmosphere, causing the formation of clouds and rain. Reich conducted
dozens of experiments with the cloudbuster, calling the research "Cosmic
Orgone Engineering."
The Maine Blueberry
Experiment
In 1953, a drought
threatened Maine's blueberry crop, and several farmers offered to pay Reich if
he could make it rain. The weather bureau had reportedly forecast no rain for
several days when Reich began the experiment at 10 a.m. on July 6, 1953. The
Bangor Daily News reported on July 24:
Dr. Reich and three
assistants set up their "rain-making" device off the shore of Grand
Lake, near the Bangor hydro-electric dam ... The device, a set of hollow tubes,
suspended over a small cylinder, connected by a cable, conducted a
"drawing" operation for about an hour and ten minutes ...
According to a
reliable source in Ellsworth the following climatic changes took place in that
city on the night of July 6 and the early morning of July 7: "Rain began
to fall shortly after ten o'clock Monday evening, first as a drizzle and then
by midnight as a gentle, steady rain. Rain continued throughout the night, and
a rainfall of 0.24 inches was recorded in Ellsworth the following
morning."
A puzzled witness to
the "rain-making" process said: "The queerest looking clouds you
ever saw began to form soon after they got the thing rolling." And later
the same witness said the scientists were able to change the course of the wind
by manipulation of the device.
The blueberry crop
survived, the farmers declared themselves satisfied, and Reich received his
fee.
In Popular Culture
Wilhelm Reich's
cloudbuster was the inspiration for the 1985 song Cloudbusting by British
singer Kate Bush. The song describes Reich's arrest and incarceration through
the eyes of his son, Peter, who later wrote the memoir A Book of Dreams, published in 1973. A cloudbuster, bearing only a
superficial resemblance to the genuine article, was designed and built for the
video. The video, intended by Bush to be a short narrative film rather than a
traditional music video, was conceived by Terry Gilliam and Kate Bush, and
directed by Julian Doyle. The video stars actor Donald Sutherland as Reich and
Bush as his son, Peter.

House Passes Bill
Eliminating Senate Approval of Presidential Appointments
By a vote of 261-116,
the House of Representatives passed a bill rewriting Article II of the Constitution
and divesting the Senate of the power to accept or reject the appointment of
many presidential nominees.
Last year, the Senate
passed the measure by a vote of 79-20, so it now goes to the desk of President
Obama for his signature.
"Important
positions will be filled faster, government agencies will be more capable of
offering valuable services to their constituents, and the overall confirmation
process will be more efficient,” said Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.),
chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Dozens of key
management positions in the Departments of Agriculture, Defense, Commerce, and
Homeland Security (including the treasurer of the United States, the deputy
administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, the director of the
Office for Domestic Preparedness, and the assistant administrator of FEMA) will
now be filled by presidential edict, without the need of the “advice and
consent” of the Senate, a phrase specifically removed from the process in the
text of the bill.
Although the House
vote occurred on Tuesday, the Senate voted to surrender its constitutional
check on the executive over a year ago on June 29, 2011.
Despite a last-minute
attempt by some House leaders to put the measure to a voice vote, thus allowing
members to vote in favor of the legislation without being listed on the record,
a roll call vote was taken, and the name of every congressman who voted to
unconstitutionally neuter the legislative branch is listed.
The process began last
March when Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and 15 cosponsors, including
Republicans Lamar Alexander (Tenn.); Scott Brown (Mass.); and Mitch McConnell
(Ky.), introduced S. 679, the “Presidential Appointment Efficiency and
Streamlining Act.” The measure struck from many current laws the “advice and
consent” requirement for many executive branch appointments, giving the
president unchecked power to fill key administration positions.
In a memo sent to
Capitol Hill in advance of Tuesday’s vote in the House, Thomas McClusky of the
Family Research Council reminded lawmakers, “The United States Constitution
does not bestow kingly powers on the President to appoint the senior officers
of the government with no process.”
Although McClusky’s
reading of the Constitution is accurate, as of Tuesday it is no longer the law
of the land. According to proponents of the measure, the bill benefitted from
such strong bipartisan support (95 Republicans joined 166 Democrats voting in
favor of passage) because its sole purpose is to relieve the backlog of
unconfirmed appointees by eliminating the confirmation requirement for about
200 offices.
The process by which
heads of executive branch departments are appointed and confirmed is set forth
by Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution. The “Appointments Clause”
provides that the president:
shall nominate, and
by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors,
other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other
Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise
provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by
Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in
the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.
Now, as soon as
President Obama adds his signature to the bill, the checks and balances
established by our Founding Fathers as a protection against tyranny will be
eliminated, as well as the concept of enumerated powers.
This history of the
delicate system created by our Founders was synopsized in an article published
by the Heritage Foundation:
When the delegates of
the states gathered in Philadelphia in the summer of 1787 and wrote the
Constitution, they distributed the powers of the federal government among two
Houses of Congress, a President, and a judiciary, and required in many cases
that two of them work together to exercise a particular constitutional power.
That separation of powers protects the liberties of the American people by
preventing any one officer of the government from aggregating too much power.
The Framers of the
Constitution did not give the President the kingly power to appoint the senior
officers of the government by himself. Instead, they allowed the President to
name an individual for a senior office, but then required the President to
obtain the Senate’s consent before appointing the individual to office. Thus,
they required the cooperation of the President and the Senate to put someone in
high office.
Many of the Framers
had practical experience with government and recognized that not every office
would be of sufficient authority and consequence as to merit the attention of
both the President and the Senate to an appointment to the office. Therefore,
they provided a means by which the Congress by law could decide which of the
lesser offices of government could be filled by the President alone, a court,
or a department head.
The Presidential
Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act removes these barriers between the
branches and shifts the powers of appointment in such a way that the very
foundation of our Republic is weakened under the crushing weight of a powerful
executive branch.
In light of this
impending imbalance, it must be inquired as to what could compel Congress to
legislate away its own power? Why would so many representatives in the Senate
and the House willingly abolish their role as bulwark against executive
despotism?
Arguably, the answer
is a desire to reduce its workload and improve the efficiency of government.
To the minds of many,
however, the trade of rightful power for a more streamlined appointment process
is a ripoff. As the Heritage Foundation says:
The Congress should
not reduce the number of Senate-confirmed appointments as a means of dealing
with its cumbersome and inefficient internal process for considering
nominations. Doing so gives away Senate influence over a number of significant
appointments, does nothing to improve the Senate process, and still leaves
nominees whose offices require nominations mired in the Senate process. The
proper solution to the problem of a slow Senate is to speed up the Senate
rather than to diminish the role of the Senate. The Senate should look inward
and streamline its internal procedures for considering all nominations. The
proper solution also is the faster one, as the Senate can accomplish the
solution by acting on its own in the exercise of its power to make Senate
rules, while S. 679 requires approval by both Houses of Congress.
Assuming for the sake
of argument that there is a bottleneck in the nomination and confirmation
pipeline, one solution is for the executive and legislative branches to work
within the framework of the Constitution’s separation of powers to remove the
blockage.
Alternatively,
however, the Congress could eliminate the problem altogether by reducing the
size of the bureaucracy by absolutely refusing to sign off on the creation or
continuation of any department, program, or agency that isn’t specifically
authorized by the powers granted by the states to the federal government in the
Constitution. Such a commitment to be bound by the Constitution would
significantly reduce the number of executive branch offices for which
appointments would be necessary, thereby dissolving the confirmation clog.

AS PROTESTS against financial power sweep the world this week,
science may have confirmed the protesters' worst fears. An analysis of the
relationships between 43,000 transnational corporations has identified a
relatively small group of companies, mainly banks, with disproportionate power
over the global economy.
The study's
assumptions have attracted some criticism, but complex systems analysts
contacted by New Scientist say it is a unique effort to untangle control in the
global economy. Pushing the analysis further, they say, could help to identify
ways of making global capitalism more stable.
The idea that a few
bankers control a large chunk of the global economy might not seem like news to
New York's Occupy Wall Street movement and protesters elsewhere (see photo).
But the study, by a trio of complex systems theorists at the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology in Zurich, is the first to go beyond ideology to
empirically identify such a network of power. It combines the mathematics long
used to model natural systems with comprehensive corporate data to map
ownership among the world's transnational corporations (TNCs).
"Reality is so complex, we must
move away from dogma, whether it's conspiracy theories or free-market,"
says James Glattfelder. "Our
analysis is reality-based."
Previous studies have
found that a few TNCs own large chunks of the world's economy, but they
included only a limited number of companies and omitted indirect ownerships, so
could not say how this effected the global economy - whether it made it more or
less stable, for instance.
The Zurich team can.
From Orbis 2007, a database listing 37 million
companies and investors worldwide, they pulled out all 43,060 TNCs and the
share ownerships linking them. Then they constructed a model of which companies
controlled others through shareholding networks, coupled with each company's
operating revenues, to map the structure of economic power.
The work, to be
published in PLoS One, revealed a core of 1318 companies
with interlocking ownerships (see image). Each of the 1318 had ties to two or
more other companies, and on average they were connected to 20. What's more,
although they represented 20 per cent of global operating revenues, the 1318
appeared to collectively own through their shares the majority of the world's
large blue chip and manufacturing firms - the "real" economy -
representing a further 60 per cent of global revenues.
When the team further
untangled the web of ownership, it found much of it tracked back to a
"super-entity" of 147 even more tightly knit companies - all of their
ownership was held by other members of the super-entity - that controlled 40
per cent of the total wealth in the network. "In effect, less
than 1 per cent of the companies were able to control 40 per cent of the entire
network," says Glattfelder. Most were financial institutions.
The top 20 included Barclays Bank, JPMorgan Chase & Co, and The Goldman
Sachs Group.
John Driffill of the
University of London, a macroeconomics expert, says the value of the analysis
is not just to see if a small number of people controls the global economy, but
rather its insights into economic stability.
Concentration of power
is not good or bad in itself, says the Zurich team, but the core's tight
interconnections could be. As the world learned in 2008, such networks are
unstable. "If one [company] suffers distress," says Glattfelder,
"this propagates."
"It's
disconcerting to see how connected things really are," agrees George
Sugihara of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California, a
complex systems expert who has advised Deutsche Bank.
Yaneer Bar-Yam, head
of the New England Complex Systems Institute (NECSI), warns that the analysis
assumes ownership equates to control, which is not always true. Most company
shares are held by fund managers who may or may not control what the companies
they part-own actually do. The impact of this on the system's behaviour, he
says, requires more analysis.
Crucially, by
identifying the architecture of global economic power, the analysis could help
make it more stable. By finding the vulnerable aspects of the system,
economists can suggest measures to prevent future collapses spreading through
the entire economy. Glattfelder says we may need global anti-trust rules, which
now exist only at national level, to limit over-connection among TNCs. Sugihara
says the analysis suggests one possible solution: firms should be taxed for
excess interconnectivity to discourage this risk.
One thing won't chime
with some of the protesters' claims: the super-entity is unlikely to be the
intentional result of a conspiracy to rule the world. "Such structures are
common in nature," says Sugihara.
Newcomers to any
network connect preferentially to highly connected members. TNCs buy shares in
each other for business reasons, not for world domination. If connectedness
clusters, so does wealth, says Dan Braha of NECSI: in similar models, money
flows towards the most highly connected members. The Zurich study, says
Sugihara, "is strong evidence that simple rules governing TNCs give rise
spontaneously to highly connected groups". Or as Braha puts it: "The
Occupy Wall Street claim that 1 per cent of people have most of the wealth
reflects a logical phase of the self-organising economy."
So, the super-entity
may not result from conspiracy. The real question, says the Zurich team, is
whether it can exert concerted political power. Driffill feels 147 is too many
to sustain collusion. Braha suspects they will compete in the market but act
together on common interests. Resisting changes to the network structure may be
one such common interest.
When this article was
first posted, the comment in the final sentence of the paragraph beginning
"Crucially, by identifying the architecture of global economic
power…" was misattributed.

federal investigation into possible violations of U.S. money-laundering laws,
the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday.
The Los Angeles U.S.
attorney's office is looking into the casino company's handling of the receipt
of millions of dollars from a Mexican businessman, later indicted in the United
States for drug trafficking, and a former California businessman, later
convicted of taking illegal kickbacks, the Journal said, citing lawyers and
others involved in the matter.
Adelson is a major
donor to the super PAC supporting presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt
Romney against President Barack Obama and plans to spend $100 million on
Republican candidates in November's elections.
Adelson, who owns
casinos in Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore, began this campaign season as a
major donor to Newt Gingrich before Gingrich dropped out of the Republican
presidential race.
He has since switched

anti-terrorism grants this year out of a total of $10 million allocated to
not-for-profit institutions by the Department of Homeland Security.

less than last year. But thanks to sharp cuts this year in the overall pool of
money available through this program, the percentage of funds going to Jewish
groups has nevertheless jumped substantially.
A full 97% of the
available funds in the Non-Profit Security Grant Program
for 2012 have been allocated to Jewish organizations, compared with 73% that
went to Jewish groups from 2007 through 2010. In 2011, Jewish groups received
about 80% of NSGP funds.

Catholic Church?

against children, charges of Mafia-style cover-ups, and the destruction of
Catholic moral teaching are tearing at the Catholic Church, and turning the
2,000 year-old faith into fodder for lowbrow comedy.
An affidavit recently
obtained by INA Today attributes the Catholic Church's present state of
collapse to a calculated attack beginning decades ago, with initial successes
appearing in the 1960s.
The affidavit affirms
that Communist Party organizer and high Party official, Bella Dodd, made public
statements during the decade of the 1960s declaring that the Catholic
priesthood was infiltrated by numerous Communist agents, whose mission was
"to destroy the Catholic Church from within."
Dodd later returned
to the Catholic Church and published a book about her experiences, entitled
School of Darkness (out of print at present).
"In the late
1920's and 1930's, directives were sent from Moscow to all Communist Party
organizations. In order to destroy the Catholic Church from within, party
members were to be planted in seminaries and within diocesan
organizations," Dodd stated according to the affidavit.
"I, myself, put
some 1,200 men in Catholic seminaries," Dodd publicly declared.
Dodd did not include
these remarks concerning her activities directed against the Catholic Church in
her book, which was first published in 1954, leading some to question whether the
remarks were actually made.
In an exclusive
interview with INA Today, Catholic philosopher Dr. Alice von Hildebrand
confirmed that Dodd had made the remarks, and provided the affidavit from Paul
and Johnine Leininger, who witnessed Dodd making the public statements.
When contacted by INA
Today, Mrs. Johnine Leininger stated that there were others who could also
verify that Dodd made the statements regarding infiltration into Catholic
seminaries.
Dr. von Hildebrand told
INA Today that Dodd had earlier refrained from detailing Communist efforts to
undermine the Catholic priesthood at the request of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen,
the individual responsible for bringing Dodd back into the Church.
Dodd's infiltrators
would have reached their highest positions of power and influence in the early
to mid-60's, the period which saw the initial doctrinal and moral collapse
within the Catholic Church.
The process of
Communist infiltration into Catholic seminaries, which Dodd described in her
public talks, would have been part of a larger plan called "Outstretched
Hand."
Communist Party
archives in Moscow confirm the existence of operation "Outstretched
Hand," and define its goals, according to Herbert Romerstein, author of
the seminal work on Soviet espionage in the United States before, during, and
after WWII, "The Venona Secrets."
At least one Soviet
agent directly involved in "Outstretched Hand" is identifiable.
One document in
Moscow's Soviet archives reveals that the Communist Party had infiltrated
several influential Catholic organizations, including the Holy Name Society,
the largest parish-oriented Catholic men's group, which is devoted to
increasing reverence for the name of God and to good works in the Church and in
society in general. A Holy Name Society chapter exists in almost every Catholic
parish in the U.S.
The same document
acknowledged the existence of a certain "Party comrade," who was
"well known" in "conservative Irish Catholic circles" and
who held offices "in various Catholic organizations…"
The "Party
comrade" operated in a key parish which provided "leadership"
and shaped "the policies of most of the reactionary and anti-Communist
campaigns that are now developing in the Catholic world," according to the
Soviet file.
Romerstein also
recounts in The Venona Secrets that
the staff of the Catholic anti-Communist publication entitled Wisdom, produced by a priest of the
Paulist order, was infiltrated, and unknowingly employed two Communist agents
in influential positions.
The Party boasted
that one of their agents was "widely known to be a conservative in Irish
circles," and was a staff correspondent for Wisdom. Romerstein identified
the Party member and Soviet agent as Jeremiah F. O'Carroll, who, in 1930, was
the president of the Irish Emergency Relief organization.
Although O'Carroll
was identified as a spy in 1938, he remained listed as a staff correspondent
for Wisdom at least until March 1939.
The second Soviet
agent who worked for Wisdom remains unknown to this day.
The most recent - and
notorious - incident of hostile infiltration into the U.S. Catholic Church is
that of veteran FBI agent and convicted spy, Robert Hanssen. While placing his
nation in mortal danger through his espionage activities, Hanssen also was believed
to be a fervent Catholic.
Hanssen led a double
life of betrayal, while serving as a spy for both the Soviet and
"reformed" regimes in Moscow.
Although the precise
extent of Communist infiltration of which Dodd spoke remains unknown, the
effects are recognizable. Today, traditional Catholic beliefs, practices, and
morality are not merely questioned, but are denounced and scorned by many of
those who should protect and profess Church doctrine.
Mrs. Leininger, who
confirmed Dodd's statements, told INA Today that she knows of several priests
who faithfully taught the Catholic religion until they became bishops or were
promoted to other influential posts, and then immediately exhibited hostility to
that same faith which they had previously professed.
Leininger described
these priests as "sleepers," a term designating individuals or groups
who carry out their espionage function only at a selected time. Before becoming
active, the "sleeper" will refrain from any espionage or subversive
functions.
Dodd's infiltrators
-- those who lost or never actually held the Catholic faith -- would have been
the mentors of the present generation of Catholic priests and bishops, in
effect conducting their own "School of Darkness."
